The Eifel was one of Jo Hammerborg´s earliest designs for Fog & Mørup, dating to the late 1950s or very early 1960s. When the lamp is lit, the deep orange internal surfaces reflect light onto the copper-laquered inner rings and vice versa, creating a feedback loop of bright colorful light which creates a warm and cosy atmosphere that is an essential component of Danish ´hygge´.
This Danish Eifel pendant was designed by Jo Hammerborg in 1963 for Fog & Morup, Denmark. The light consists of seven rings; four copper lacquered inner rings and three outer rings with black and orange lacquer. The lamp uses E27 and E26 Edison screw fittings with max 150W.
